PHOENIX — High pressure is in control for the weekend. Look for a mostly sunny sky and daily breeziness statewide. On Saturday, lower desert highs will climb up to 103 degrees and to the 70s and 80s in the high-country. Southwest winds will gust 20-25 mph in the lower deserts and up to 35 mph in the high deserts.
We'll get another day of triple-digit temperatures on Sunday before we return to the double-digits starting Monday.
While temperatures will back off a bit, expect near to slightly above average highs all of next week. The average high for the Phoenix Metro on this date is 95 degrees.
Daily dry, windy weather will continue to elevate the overall fire risk. No rain is in sight for the next week.
